Why do the liquid extracts from organic vital mushrooms taste sweet? Do they contain sugar?

The sweet taste of the liquid extracts is due to the pharmaceutically pure glycerin, which serves as a carrier material. Glycerin can also be consumed by diabetics, as according to diabetologists it does not increase blood sugar levels and is considered the only accepted sweetener for diabetics.
Glycerin does not affect blood sugar levels or metabolism.
In food, it is used to maintain moisture levels, as a solvent and as a sweetener. When used as a sugar substitute, glycerin has significantly fewer calories than sugar, although it is only about 60% as sweet as sugar. However, it does not increase blood sugar levels and does not serve as a food source for bacteria that cause tooth decay.
We use glycerin in our products for various reasons. We use pharmaceutically pure, GMO-free glycerin, which is extracted from bio sunflowers. It serves as a preservative and homogenizing agent and enables – similar to liposomal technology – the targeted transfer of the active ingredients to the cells.
Physiologically, glycerin supports the absorption of active ingredients through the oral mucosa, as it is found in all living cells. Glycerin is generally permitted in foods without any quantitative restrictions and has no set upper limit for daily intake.
Glycerin enables almost 100% absorption of the active ingredients, which is not possible with capsules. This was confirmed by the manufacturer in collaboration with Semmelweis University Hungary in studies that demonstrated the positive effects of both the glycerin and the fungal active ingredients. The active ingredients are absorbed directly through the oral mucosa and the small intestine and thus reach the cells almost immediately.
The mushroom extracts can be taken pure or diluted. The taste and consistency are reminiscent of honey, but none of our liquid extracts contain honey. They have a pleasant, slightly sweet taste (thanks to the glycerin and polysaccharides) and no mushroom taste at all. If you don't like the sweet taste, you can consume the extracts in tea, coffee or other liquids. Glycerin protects the active ingredients from heat, so that the effectiveness is maintained even in hot drinks (up to 60°C)
If the extracts are taken pure, it is recommended to hold them on the side of the mouth next to the tongue for a few seconds so that the active ingredients are absorbed through the oral mucosa, thus ensuring maximum use of the ingredients.
